During Biofach 2023, INOFO board met with Ms Sarah Jensen from Strengthen Farmer Organisations program of GIZ to discuss opportunities for INOFO members (OFOs) to register with Sequa for its The German Import Promotion Desk.
This program facilities organic certified Farmer Organizations to participate in Biofach in two ways, as an co-exhibitor at the joined GIZ and IPD pavillionl, or as a participant in an exposure visit. INOFO succeeded to register two member organisations, one from Brazil and one from India, into this program for Biofach 2024. One group accomplished to register as an official co-exhibitor at the joint booth while the other has been approved as a participant in the Export Market Orientation Mission (EMOM).
In October 2023, INOFOs member – The one Gujarat Organic Farming Organisation – has been visited by Sequa for its Import Promotion Desk (IPD). Sequa implements, financed by GIZ, this project and assessed the export readiness of the Organisation. Sequa and The one Gujarat Organic Farming Organisation are now looking forward to Biofach 2024 to establish market linkages between the European and Indian markets.
